Business update: supporting environmental change through 1% for the Planet

We’re delighted to share that Wholesome has successfully renewed our 1% for the Planet certification for 2025-2026.

Being certified means our contributions have been independently verified, demonstrating that our commitment to supporting environmental causes is backed by action. As members of 1% for the Planet, we donate at least 1% of our annual revenue, not profits, to environmental organisations working to protect and restore the natural world.

Over the past year, our donations have helped support:

• Young Climate Warriors, empowering young people to take action on climate issues.
• Bumblebee Conservation Trust, working to protect and restore the UK’s bumblebee populations.
• Pesticide Action Network UK, campaigning for healthy farming and a future free from harmful pesticides.
• Butterfly Conservation, helping to protect butterflies, moths and the habitats they depend on.

Only a small proportion of charitable giving globally is directed towards environmental causes, which makes initiatives like 1% for the Planet so important.

Supporting environmental causes is one of the ways we seek to live our values as a responsible business and align our actions with the long-term thinking that underpins financial planning.
