1. We see the world differently

From the beginning, we set out to be more than just another financial planning firm. We wanted to proudly uphold our ethical stance and make a real difference not only in the lives of our clients but also to the planet.

From our ESG funds to being a carbon-neutral business, we hope to attract clients who share a similar ethos and wish to help the planet. We might be a small business, but we will make a big difference.

2. We’re a small but mighty team

You should never underestimate the impact of a small financial planning firm. Being a sole planner firm allows us to provide more individual service to our clients, and we can build deeper, long-term relationships.

We love to keep up with your every move and see how your plans progress, and we’ll always be at the end of the phone or available on a video call whenever you need us. With the right team on your side, the sky’s the limit!

3. We coach, you grow

Although we call ourselves financial planners, what we really provide is a financial coaching and planning service.

As part of the coaching side of things, we help you understand more about your finances and the reasons for making certain decisions. The planning aspect follows as we implement your plans and keep you on track.

4. We act independently

We set up Wholesome knowing that we didn’t want to be tied to any specific financial institution or product, which is why we act as independent financial planners.

This allows us to provide objective recommendations tailored to your specific needs and goals. We prioritise your best interests and build long-term relationships based on trust and transparency.

Speaking of making a difference, we are fully-fledged members of Ecologi, whose mission is to inspire and empower businesses to accelerate global climate action.

We’ve committed to donate 1% of our revenue for the planet. 1% for the Planet accelerates smart environmental giving and works to prevent greenwashing, certify reputable giving and provide accountability for environmental giving.

Why 1% of annual sales? For businesses of any size, 1% of sales – not profits – is a real and substantial commitment. Currently, only 3% of philanthropic giving goes to the environment.

I asked if it was possible to have a home visit as my husband is disabled. There was no problem and Lucy visited us within 2weeks. Having a pension issue, she managed to explain to us simply and clearly how to solve this ourselves. As we are both over 80 years old, it was refreshing to have Lucy explain (what was for us a complicated issue)in simple terms how to solve it. Lucy gave us a forecast that helped us to understand whether or not our retirement income was sufficient for our needs. She helped with consolidating separate pension 'pots' into one that can be monitored/managed online and in a fund that better suits our needs. Lucy gave us useful tools that supported with analysing our spending and our priorities for the immediate and longer term future. She arranged several meetings to listen to our needs, including attitude to risk, so that she understood them fully before providing us with advice which she was careful to ensure we understood. She also advised us about key points in the future when we should review if we did not take up the option of an annual review with her. Very satisfied customer!
